The Epson Perfection V700 is a high-quality scanner that does a great job with a variety of input materials. The interchangeable slide and negative holders may seem a bit flimsy, but they have held up well and produce excellent scans--after a bit of practice adjusting various settings. The included OCR software does an amazingly good job converting average quality printed material to text for Word, although I haven't yet tried it with poor quality print. In general, I'm very happy with the scanner and would recommend it to others.
